sv51macross
http://www.spineforge.net/tinysquishy/_ima..._25/17_Hind.jpg I am left speechless. It's lie someone tried to put a Longbow Apache's nose onto a hind's and still wanted to keep the turret/sensor suite...I don't know what to make of it.
Chef blades
Yes, strange... but strangely compelling. The more I look at it, the cooler it gets! Andy
Tank
They are trying to ruin the look of the Hind and doing a good job of it. It's a Mi-35 Super Hind MK3. If you are so inclined to build on in 1/72, here you go: http://www.scale-rotors.com/news-reviews/s...-conversion-001 HTH
Eastern
Damn...Looks like an ugly duckling. :) Thanks for the linky. Cheers! Alexander.
martin_sam_2000
isn't that one of the upgrade packages down by other countries..Indian or South African maybe??? I'll have to go through my refs. Sean EDIT: found it. it is indeed the Superhind MkIII built by Advanced Technologies and Engineering(ATE) based out of Midrand, South Africa. Algeria has had 40 modified like this, although that paint job looks like the company demonstrator. there was a write-up about this in the Jan, 2008 Issue of Airforces Monthly, pg.76 Edited October 7, 2009 by martin_sam_2000
ChernayaAkula
This cool beast even has a supporting role (in the very meaning of the word! ) in "BLOOD DIAMOND". Edited October 7, 2009 by ChernayaAkula
jbrundt
Well, they have to bring that helo into the 21st century. Looks like something you'd find in a sci-fi movie or SW: Clone Wars episode. Its looks start to grow on you though.... Jeff
centaur567
Just when we thought the Hind couldn't get any uglier.Looks like one of those ugly pig guards from star wars. Wonder what they would do to the Apache? Gary
sv51macross
What I don't get is how the guy in print deals with the lack of visibility...or is that what the head off a Pave-Tack is for...?

zerosystem
was just thinking that, hope the have some room or help when landing...have an easier time looking over ww2 tail dragger's nose than that. karl h
anyone know if the 1:35 conversion kit ever happened?
RedHeadKevin
Call me crazy, but I like the look of more and more stuff scabbed onto military aircraft. It makes them look more purposeful to me, somehow. The Apache looks like it was built out of Legos, but damn if it doesn't look like it could kill some tanks. The Bell JetRanger is a nice-looking helicopter, but I love the look of the Kiowa, with bumps and wire cutters and the MMS. It looks tough now.
