Ruud
Hoi, I am the new owner of a CB T-34-76 Factory 112 Early production kit. I was wondering what book might be a good one for some inaction pics and specifics to build this kit? Not like a $50+ book, just a good all around reference book. later Ruud
Tank
Kit: http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/revi...by/chc6452.html Building a similar boxing of the T-34 and it is going well and seems to be an improvement over the mod 41 kit I had built. http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/revi...agon/dr6205.htm That said I haven't seen or recall any issues with building a T-34 in general, it's just an easy design to build. Ruud
Hoi Tank, http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/revi...by/chc6452.html this is the one i have. I've read that the T-34 Mythical Weapon is the book to get (on par with Hunicutt's books on US tanks), but $96 is a bit too much for me. I looked at the Wydawnictwo Militaria T-34 books, but they seem to deal with a part of the T-34-76 per book (turret etc.) not a specific factory or type. So that would mean 4 books totaling more than $100 as well... I noticed T-34 MEDIUM TANK 1939-1943 on Amazon... but i'd like to get some feed back from those in the know before i purchase a book. later Ruud
GVoakes
I noticed T-34 MEDIUM TANK 1939-1943 on Amazon... but i'd like to get some feed back from those in the know before i purchase a book. Is that the Osprey Vanguard? If so, it's a good introduction and general history, but not great for detailing the differences between specific models. T-34 the Ultimate weapon is probably the best of the lot, although the Wydawnictwo Militaria series does talk about differences between the models. Not sure offhand which volume would cover the T-34 Mod. 112 early production - I'll try and check this evening. If you plan on building any more T-34s in the future, seriously consider investing in the T-34 Ultimate weapon book...
Ruud
Hoi, This is the one that seemed like a middle of the road option: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detai...ER&v=glance later Ruud
Ruud
Hoi, I did pick of the T-34-76 1940-1943 book. Not bad. Good pictures and info. It is a lot like the Osprey books on armor. One would like to have more info on the difference from different factories and when they occurred, but that would make it a 400 page $100 book... later Ruud
