Microscale 72-27 Sheet of Yellow letters and numbers, 100% complete, useable, no yellowing. $2

Microscale 72-50 British White and Dark Red Codes (letters only), appear to be 33†codes in 1/72nd scale, or 21†codes in 1/48th scale. $2

Stoppel No.24 Sheet of Yellow letters and numbers, 100% complete, useable, slight yellowing. $1

Eagles Strike 48046A – U.S. Insignia Red Border 1943, mint condition. I have two of these sheets, $10 each.

Superscale 48-548 P-47D/M Thunderbolts – markings for three aircraft, one overall nm P-47D “Chief Ski-U-Man II†and two P-47M’s that include “Teddy†(early version) and “Teddy†(late version) flown by Major Michael Jackson of the 56th FG, 1945. Same airplane, different schemes. Late version has invasion stripes on lower fuselage. $6

Superscale 48-623 P-47D Thunderbolts 79th FG/86th FS – Markings for two aircraft, X46 (razorback) and X68, both overall natural metal. X68 has a medium blue tail with yellow lightning bolts common to aircraft of this squadron. $6

Superscale 48-642 P-47D/M Thunderbolts – this is a repeat of sheet 48-548 above, though serial number of the late version of “Teddy†is different. $5

Superscale 48-913 P-47D Thunderbolts from the 86th and 350th FG’s, Corsica, 1944. Both P-47’s are overall natural metal, “The Jawbone†(red striped tail) and “Torrid Tessie†(white/black checkered rudder). $7

Superscale 48-940 P-47M Thunderbolts 5th FG. – markings for three midnight blue over nm P-47M’s, “Joy Boy†(HV-P), “Lorene†(HV-J), and HV-Z, all red codes outlined in white. All three P-47’s have red cowl rings and red rudders. $7

Superscale 48-1074 P-47D “Coffey’s Pot†– very colorful aircraft having full set of invasion stripes around the fuselage and wings with black cowl ring and black ID bands on tail. Sheet provides decal invasion stripes for the fuselage and black ID bands, but you have to paint the invasion stripes on the wings. Nice sheet. $7

Superscale 48-1080 P-47D-30 “Big *** Bird†– markings for this single aircraft that includes invasion stripes and complete set of stencils. $7

Aeromaster 48-019 “Luftwaffe F-4 Phantom Stencils†– sheet devoted to stencils and other aircraft markings used on the F-4’s flown by the Luftwaffe. $5

HARDBOUND BOOKS:

“Yellowjackets – The 361st Fighter Group in World War II†by Paul Cora – superb book on the yellow nosed P-51 Mustangs of the 361st FG. Published by Schiffer, it is printed on high quality paper with excellent color and b/w photos along with several pages of color profiles of the Thunderbolts and Mustangs that flew with this group. Book is in mint condition. Retail cost for this book runs $45, my cost is $30.

“Mustangs Over Korea – The F-51 at War 1950-1953†by David McLauren - another Schiffer published book of very high quality covering the complete history of the Mustang in Korea. Although no color profiles, there are three sections in the book of color photos of these aircraft. Book is in mint condition. Retail cost for this book is $45, my cost is $30.

“MUSTANG – A Documentary History†by Jeff Ethell – one of the best books on the use of the Mustang during WWII and postwar. Published on slick, high quality paper, excellent photos. $20

“Development of the P-51 Mustang†by Paul Ludwig – large, very heavy, book on the overall development of the Mustang, very unique photos. Includes a series of beautiful color profiles of the XP-51, P-51A’s, and P-51B’s. The book retails for $50, my price is $30.

“WARBIRDS – Classic American Fighters & Bombers†by Michael O’Leary – the is a large, coffee table type of book covering the warbirds currently flying within the U.S. in beautiful color photographs. The book is divided by type of aircraft so you can easily see what has been restored and is flying. Price reduced to $15.

“Air War Korea 1950-1953†by Robert Jackson – excellent book on the air war in Korea, b/w and color photos, published on high quality slick paper, covers the props, jets, transports, and helicopters used in the conflict. $20

“Force For Freedom – The USAF in the UK Since 1948†by Michael Bowyer – if you are into 50’s USAF transports, bombers, and fighter aircraft, this is a really good book to have in your collection. It covers the years 1948 to about 1990. Includes a color section in the center. $20

“The Encyclopedia of U.S. Military Aircraft†by Martin Bowman – good reference for the beginning modeler. Pages of color profiles and color photos showing all U.S. aircraft up to about 1990. Rare book. $10

“Lockheed Constellation – From Excalibur to Starliner†by Dominique Brefort – this is the ultimate reference on the Connie and a must have for anyone building the Heller kit or who just has an interest in the airplane. The book contains 50+ pages of beautiful color profiles of Connies in both civil and military schemes. It covers all variants of the Constellation in both b/w and color photos and drawings. Hardbound book published on very high quality paper. $50

SOFTBOUND BOOKS:

Aero Detail No.14 “Republic P-47 Thunderbolt†– very high quality, detail oriented book showing all aspects of the airframe. A must for the modeler. $25

Mushroom Publications “Republic P-47 Thunderbolt Bubbletop†by Robert Peczkowski – similar to above Aero Detail book but in smaller format. However, this book includes nearly 30 pages of color profiles of all bubbletop variants of the P-47, both WWII and postwar. $20

Mushroom Publications “Douglas SBD Dauntless†by Robert Peczkowski – same format as the P-47 book listed above. Includes 20 pages of color profiles of all variants and paint schemes, both USN, Mexico, Chile, U.S. Army, etc. Also includes a color walkaround section for the modeler. $20

Warpaint Special No.1 “Republic P-47 Thunderbolt†by Alan Hall – ultimate book on P-47 color schemes that includes 90 pages of color profiles and color photos. Covers all variants and schemes of all countries that flew the Thunderbolt. $25

“P-51 Mustang From 1940 to 1980†– This book is part of Histoire Collections series of books. This book has about 60 pages of color profiles of all variants of the Mustang. Includes sections on the P-51H and F-82 Twin Mustang. Book has lots of color photos as well to support the profiles. $25

S/S “Thunderbolt – The Republic P-47 Thunderbolt in the European Theater†by Ernest McDowell. Excellent publication with many pages of color profiles, illustrated by Don Greer. $8

S/S “P-51 Mustang†by Larry Davis. Same format as T-bolt book above, lots of color and color profiles. $8

S/S Fighting Colors “P-51 Mustang in Color†by Larry Davis – Complete color reference to all parts of the aircraft and all variants. Includes multiple pages of color profiles and color diagrams. OOP, Rare. $8

“P-47 Thunderbolt At War†by Cory Graff – published by Zenith Press in 2007. Excellent SB book with lots of unusual color photos not seen before. Covers all aircraft, all eras, and all countries who used the T-bolt. Also includes a chapter on those warbird P-47’s still flying and those on static display in museums around the world. $15

“Republic Thunderbolt†by Roger Freeman (Ducimus Classic) – very good book covering all variants of the Thunderbolt, includes drawings of all variants and several pages of color profiles. Very rare. $5

“MUSTANG†by Stewart Wilson – book that covers all variants of the P-51, including prototypes to the PA-48 Enforcer. Good section of postwar use of the Mustang, both by USAF and military forces around the world. Heart of book includes eight pages of color profiles. $12

Koku Fan’s FAOW No.58 “Lockheed Constellation†– this booklet is published in Koku-Fan’s late series format that includes a section of color photos and profile drawings for the Connie, as well as a thorough pictorial evolution of the aircraft in b/w pictures. This booklet covers military Constellations only, no real coverage of civil aircraft. $15
