AnthonyWan
Here's a few more schemes outside of the regular white/red/black scheme. I don't know if they are accurate...but this is scifi, so take your best guess Prototype: http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y140/kigh...rototypeNo1.png http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y140/kigh...caliburblac.png http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y140/kigh...VF-19A727th.png And last but not least, the one I plan to make someday: http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y140/kigh...calibursGho.png
sv51macross
Isn't the base color a very light, beige tan?
AnthonyWan
Isn't the base color a very light, beige tan? Yeah. I suspect there's no exact paint match out there for it though. I'm curious to see what Hasegawa recommends for the paint actually..Anyone have the kit and want to enlighten us? Edited October 31, 2009 by AnthonyWan
sv51macross
Oh, and BTW, that last paint is epic win.
David Hingtgen
The Project Super Nova schemes are quasi-canon (more so than most of the ones posted above). They are roughly based (IMHO) on the prototype F-15s: http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/magazi...odelgraphix.htm Scroll down to June 2002. More schemes than that, too. (the Super Nova schemes are the white/orange and white/blue ones) Edited October 31, 2009 by David Hingtgen
artoor_k
Hasegawa suggest a mix of 50% radome and 50%white but I think the best solution is using a color of VF-0 which is FS 36622 (gunze 311).Humbrol equivalent for this one is H28.
David Hingtgen
VF-0 is too grey and too pale. IMHO most YF-19's aren't tan enough, they're too pale. Add a hint of yellow though, you don't want pure "brown+white". You want a bit of a sand-yellow in there. I'd guess more like 50% radome tan and 45% white and 5% yellow or cream. Maybe 50/40/10. Tricose
Okay - I need to ask this. I've seen the kit that Hasegawa just released for this in 1/48, one word - stunning. Now the question, I grew up with the original Starblazers and that was the extent of the Macross stuff I've seen. So where would someone find this particular aircraft/space fighter?? Is it in a Anime Movie, and if so which one?? Any help will be appreciated. Guess I'm kinda reliving my youth again. Thanks, Tricose :D
BAM'n'IVM
AFAIK, Starblazers is not Macross. Starblazers was called Space Battleship Yamato or somesuch in the original Japanese, while Macross came to these shores as Robotech. Folks who know the genre better may, of course, feel free to correct me.

I don't think they have them in our HS, and, you know how crossed up I can get with credit cards, and, mailing stuff? Let me know if you have time? Thanks much, and, I appreciate it!Telly imtelly@izoom.net

David Hingtgen
I didn't see any VF-19/YF-19 in there, they were almost all VF-11.
Davfoe
I've always thought Macross veritech's would look good in a splinter camo. Something like this: Edited March 5, 2010 by Davfoe
David Hingtgen
It'd end up looking something like this: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...si&img=2913 Edited March 8, 2010 by David Hingtgen
