C-130CrewChief
Hello all. I'm re-scribing some panels on a good old 1/48 Revell F-15. I was wondering where I could get some line drawings. I'm looking at reference pics and I did notice that Revell got a lot of them spot on. Not bad. I'm not going crazy on it because most lines on the F-15 are not dirty, but a few are. I'm going to sand a lot of the raised lines down so they are really short to represent sealant "squeeze out". Any help would be appreciated. Curt
Jennings
Some of the best F-15 line drawings there are (that I'm aware of) are the decal placement drawings in the Hasegawa kits. J

strikeeagle801
Hey Curt Not sure how great they are (not a Light Gray kinda guy if you hadn't noticed) but here's a site with a lot of 3-views. The F-15's under the M (for McDonnell) not B (for Boeing) Aaron http://richard.ferriere.free.fr/3vues/3vues.html
Wayne S
The set in the verlinden book Lock On No. 4, drawings are pretty darn good. Not sure where mine is at this time. Even has cross sections etc. scaled 1/72nd scale.
modelkitfan
You can check this Russian site http://www.airwar.ru/other/draw_fn.html. Scroll down to "McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle." They have 4 sets of drawings; unfortunately, I don't know anything about accuracy of those.
drhornii
Hobby Decal has stencil placement instructions that look great. I assume they are accurate.

Modelmkr
I'll second HobbyDecal for line drawings. They are large, detailed and all views are represented. Edited November 2, 2009 by Modelmkr

C-130CrewChief
About done with the top of the wings. It's hard to believe I started this Friday night! And the cockpit.. it's OOB but I'm doing this for fun. I plan on adding some doo dads to it but that's about it. I can't ever get my camera to take a good tight shought though... Sorry I have a nice resin AcesII seat and wheel and tires on the way. I got a "wing kings" decal set and the dry transfers to go along with it. I plan on doing a 3rd Wing Elmendorf AFB bird. Jennings
Hobby Decal has stencil placement instructions that look great. I assume they are accurate. That's a very rash assumption. There are lots and lots of drawings out there that look really nice, but which, once you have hard data on the airplane, turn out not to be. After a quick look at the HD drawings, I can tell you there are several suspect areas. They do look nice, but I wouldn't trust them to be "accurate" to a real F-15. If you look at their F-4 drawings (found at the same URL as above), they did an F-4D, Spey Phantom, and an RF-4C on the same page. The exhaust area and rear fuselage on their Spey bird is identical to the D and RF ones (with a Spey-like pipe), which is not in any way correct. Pretty, but inaccurate drawings.
