cebola
Hello! I am from Brazil, in fact new comer This is my first model, and I choose the Airfix Stuka 1:24 scale. In the past 20 years ago, I try hard to build one of this, but the result was a total disaster. So, my son Leonardo (13) invited me to build a small 1:72 A10, and I found this Stuka kit on the same store. Few months on a box, I decide re start a work lost for these 20 years, the Stuka. Well, cost a lot of work, some pieces do not fix and some others, lost on giant and massy pieces. After one month, the Stuka was ready. Note that this models was a challenge for me, and don’t give up was the rule. Hope you like it. Cebola Brazil Edited November 6, 2009 by cebola

cebola
Stuka Few words about the paint For this big Stuka, I used acrylic paint from Winsor & Newton, applied over a coat of acrylic primer solved whit some glass clear in Brazil named Vidrex. I choose Winsor & Newton paint, because is one of the best paint system available on Brazilian market. You can apply this paint using an airbrush, solved in water 50%, and whit only basic 11 colors; it’s possible to obtain any color desirable. Very easy to apply, Winsor & Newton paint gives a very good texture, and some delicate semi gloss appearance. Well, this is my contribution for the Forum, new materials, affordable and whit good result. Best regards Cebola Brazil

cebola
:D Hi there Cebola .I wonder , can I use any tubes I want in acrylics Hi Milorg If you mean paint, Winsor & Newton is an acrylic paint. You can also choose oil, but I do not recommend, only for washes. Except on the metallic colors, you can apply using airbrush. Cebola Brazil

cebola
wow, what a great job, keep up the good work. Hi Display Name Thank's for the nice words. Stuka is not already finished. It’s time to make the wash, and few other small things. But it was a pleasure to build this kit. Best regards Cebola Brazil

I would like to know how you got the paint done so well, usually I find the largest models are harder because there is more surface and error are easier to find. smaller models like 1/72 are harder to get a detailed, good job. but 1/24, wow that would be hard.
