EL REY
I'm going to build two classic choppers, the first one the Gazelle AS342-M, a old warrior created since cold war. The second one, the scout OH-58D, both in 1/72 scale. The graphics informations, will be taken from scuadron book and airliners web. The Gazelle cockpit has not some details: pedals, sticks, instrument panel, some details were taken from other kits, other made in scracht. For the OH-58A cockpit I had to increase the contours, on the frame. Now it get a better fitted into the fuselage.

gistsc
I built that Kiowa years ago, talk about modeling on a mad scale . You have to love armed scouts though. Good luck, looking forward to the finished product.
RotorheadTX
Be sure to pack some lead foil under the floor of both models - they are notorious tail-sitters!!
EL REY
For the Gazelle kit, I need to modify the top canopy, lamentably this piece is english version, is flat. Look at french version: The military french version take a target system, on a dome. I will build with "PET", using the vacuformed system, but we'll see later. Meanwhile, I cut the canopy, and prepare one base in thin plastic sheet, drawing the cut contour, and adapting sheet to the canopy.

EL REY
Well continuing, I replaced the simulate mesh with original one. Were modified the avionics doors. I've prepared the cockpit for the final paint. For the dome is necessary to add some little plastic blocks.
EL REY
These are the details and modifications that I've done for the Kiowa cockpit. The colective sticks are made on scracht, the seats were taken from the other kit, the balistics shields are the same kit.
