Phantom ordie
I don't build cars to often but I have one I need to get out of the way and try to get my sanity back in perspective. I what is the proper stock black frame color? Its not gloss and its not flat and doesn't seem to even be satin. Anyone know for sure what the car guys use for contest correctness? Huey Gunner
I just use MM "semi gloss black". Close enough. Most of it's hidden anyway.
niart17
i think it depends on what you're building. if it's a show car, it may very well be gloss. i've seen some show cars that the chassis was painted better than some cars bodies. if it's a daily driver, i'd say it's probably closer to flat. if it's a work vehicle, then it's probably not even the frame color anymore but more of a dirt color. just like anything, the subject matter will dictate what is called for.
