While waiting for some airbrush parts to finish my F-105G, I decided to build my girlfriend a present for her birthday. She has a '68 Mustang but since nobody sells a model of the coupe, I decided to build her dream car: a 1969 Shelby GT-500.

Started it today and finished the engine and the interior. Must say it is much easier building a car than an aircraft!

That's what I though too but it's how the instructions say to do it and it lines up with the pipes that go along the undercarriage. It does get covered by the air filter when it is completed so maybe it has some function on the full scale.

It is the hot air intake tube for cold starts, it's called a choke stove. I'm not sure the Shelby GT would have had one.
