Justin Davenport
Hi all I've been surfing around (slow day at work) and have been reading up on some kits. That got me to thinking, I have some kits with white metal parts (BAE Hawk, Cavalier conversion, YuMo Super Galeb which I was supposed to build but then put off) -- how do you "clean them up"? And I assume you need to use CA to attach them. Do you need to prime them as well, what's the best way of making them look real good? thanks, regards, Justin (my "weekend" starts tomorrow, I'm one of the few people on earth who likes Mondays these days) :D
Guest David
Clean up with a sharp knife! If they need to be polished (rough surface) then just sand down with fine grit. And yes, they do need super glue to be used.
Guest kondor
And sure you have to prime them. Not only for the flaws but for the paint adhesion, especially if you plan to use acrylics. Cheers
