MESHER Posted December 10, 2009 Share Posted December 10, 2009 What Alcad colors would I require for a BMF on a Tamiya 1/48 P-51D? I am thinking Aluminum for the overall color, but I don't know what color to use for the panels around the exhaust, I know they are suppose to be a bit darker. Jennings Posted December 10, 2009 Share Posted December 10, 2009 There really wasn't that much variation. Look at photos and paint what you see. The entire skin of the a/c was essentially the same material. Be aware however that P-51 wings had their panel lines filled with putty and were painted with aluminum paint. The gun access panel, ailerons, flaps, and fuel tank access panel on the bottom surface were left unpainted. J Quote Link to post Share on other sites
