Voltaire
Looking to spice up the load out on a 1/72 aircraft with decals. Do they exist? (Seen some 1/48 at Two Bobs,, but no 1/72 if I am not mistaken).
thegoodsgt
None that I know of. I'm been urging one of the cottage industry guys to produce a sheet of generic, multi-colored stripes and such that could be used on literally any 1/72 scale ordnance. Also urging him to do 1/72 Remove Before Flight decals, both new (i.e. bright red) and used (i.e., dirty red).
UKPonchoMan
Actually there is - Scalemaster did a sheet covering Air-To-Air missiles but it was some time ago... Other than that, there's what's in the Hasegawa weapons sets... As for RBF tags, there are at least 5-6 sets of these currently available, although they are (admittedly) all "new"... SDA
One manufacturer from Russia makes two sheets - for AGM-88 "HARM" and for AIM-9L/M "Sidewinder" http://www.decal.spb.ru/catalog.htm

The Scalemaster sheet is all black and white, none of the needed brown, yellow, or blue stripes. DG
thegoodsgt
Who makes RBF tags in 1/72 scale? I have the Verlinden RFB tags, but they're way too think for 1/72 scale. I've seen the Eduard sets but they also look too thick. On a side note, we also need someone to make decals for those yellowish formation lights, but weathered. UKPonchoMan
For the formation lights - you can get hold of luminous tape which is like masking tape but smooth. Not only is it a decent color but it retains light too!

KB Lam
i got the Aires cockpit set, it is very nice. While the wheel bay, it is difficult to install so i didn't buy it. Btw, we seldom turn over the plane to show the wheel bay. Even it lack of detail, i still accept it. Just try to make our life easy.
