CraigSargent
I'm currently working on an S-3 set of stores for a resin producer, most of which are not readily available in kit form, which could be made available as an aftermarket resin set. Poll is to find out if you would prefer to purchase as an S-3B stores set, or each store individually, so you pick and match to your S-3 configuration. Bear in mind a few things. The more items in the set, the more expensive it will be to purchase. Also, all items are available in one form or another, but not in a common package, or from a single manufacturer. The SLAM-ER and datalink pod can be found in the Academy F-15K. The ARS is available from a number of aftermarket manufacturers already. The LANTIRN is available in the Hasegawa weapons set. The 300 gallon tank can be modified from any number of kits available (A-4, AV-8B, A-6, etc) as well as aftermarket, but do not have the S-3 quad fin configuration. Julien (UK)
I would have thought if you sold them individually there might be more of a market as not everyone would want them all. You have to balence this by how much extra it would cost to package and sell individually? Julien
Stephen
I've only ever seen one ARS available, are there others? Stephen
dsmith
I know Cobra Company does one, and I think Two Mikes will have one with their S-3B update set coming soon. Cheers, -Doug
RedHeadKevin
You don't need to do an all-or-nothing choice. Have a set with the SLAM-ER and the data link. Another with the Buddy Pod and the Drop Tank. Maybe the LANTIRN and a Laser-Mav/LAU-117 rail combo. Having ALL those weapons wouldn't be possible on one Viking, so people would either wind up with extra stuff or need to buy another S-3 kit. By doing one complete loadout for both pylons, you'd enable someone to equip thier Viking, and be done with it.

Collin
Concur with RedHeadKevin. SLAM-ER and the Pod, Maverick/LAU-117 and LANTIRN, and include the buddystore or drop tank in the packet maybe. Typically you flew with a ARS on W5 and a LANTIRN or Maverick on W6...an everyday kind of loadout. For specific mission you would drop the ARS and put weapons or pods on both wing stations (say a SLAM-ER/DL pod mission or an alert load of Maverick/targeting pod). A nice high quality Maverick would be nice. r/ ATIS

CraigSargent
Thanks for all the feedback. After talking with the man-in-charge, a decision has been reached. Will post more info when I can. I have finished the poll. Thanks again. PS. We decided long ago Maverick was not an option which is why it was not included in the list. RedHeadKevin
I wasn't suggesting that you had to include a Maverick. I was just throwing it out there as a possible counterpart to the LANTIRN pod. Maybe just a LAU-117, since you can get Mavericks anywhere.
