Davfoe
Hey all, Just wanted to know if anyone can help me with the two tone grey camo use on 225 IAP' P-47D's in WWII. I need top and side views on the camo. Thanks
Lock n' Load
As far as i know, it was Aluminum painted P-47's and what seems to be olive green over light gray camo on russian P-47's Edited December 24, 2009 by Lock n' Load
Davfoe
The Osprey on "Soviet Lend Lease Aces in WW2" has a color plate of a P-47D in the VVS dark and light grey over light blue. Apparently it's backed up by photographic evidence, again mentioned in the plate description. This is the same camo on an La-
kfmut
I have seen photo of one bubbletop tbolt with soviet navy pilots in foreground(yep, 255 IAP belonged to the navy) and looks like camo is pretty standard OD over grey with darker cowling, shade is pretty close to black on prop blades...
