Finally found some time, Christmas weekend was way too busy but this New Years weekend I'm finally managing some free time for the Talbot-Lago

When I stripped the chrome from the mirror fairings I found that the sprue was molded in clear

The wheels have some of the nicest plastic molded spokes that I've ever seen

The steering wheel had polished aluminum spokes and a dark rim. Restored car pics show a black rim but I am sorely tempted to put a wood rim on it

The plastic shift lever was the same size and shape as a small headed straight pin so replacement was a no-brainer!

I'm expecting to spend tomorrow evening at the bench. The body is split down the middle like a fuselage so I'm aiming to get the fuselage halves together and get it in the paint booth. Paint will be Tamiya TS44 Brilliant Blue.
