Jennings Posted January 11, 2010 Share Posted January 11, 2010 Note in that first image, the color of the forward body and front fins comes closer to the actual color I've seen on real (live) missiles than any online image I've ever seen. The real thing is very slightly metallic, but I think on any scale model, any metallic paint would be too metallic looking. In scale, I'd paint them a dark grey color with a tinge of olive green to it. The real ones under sunlight definitely have a slight greenish cast to them. The aft body & fins are Light (or dark??)
