1/35 Panther Ausf G Calling it DONE!

Recommended Posts

WOW Dave! THANKS for the tutorials too!

I've built airplanes all my life but recently have been

beginning to discover the fun of tanks. I do okay, but

I have much to learn. Guys like you and my friend

Roger can teach me a lot and I'm glad you like to share

your knowledge!

Thanks again!

Okay…

This is my first piece of armor after 20+ years. I did start building armor when I first started building models but I switched to building aircraft in those 20 years since my youth.

The kit is the Shanghai Dragon 1/35 IR Panther Ausf G. It was built mostly out of the box, with the exception of the beat up fenders that I made from plastic card. I also used wire mesh for the engine deck cut to fit.

I learned a lot of new things with this build and there are some things that I will do differently on the next one. The most important thing that I think I learned was that model building can be fun again. In truth, though I still like my aircraft, they are so easy to get burned out on with all the filling and sanding.

Enough babble on with the show!

So that’s it. Tell me what you think. Don’t be afraid to tear into it, I can take it. Besides, that is the best way to learn. So if no one can think of anything I missed, I’m ready to call it done.
