Building of Mi-24V Hind 1/35 Trumpeter

Recommended Posts

Hi, guys! This is my first topic in this forum.

I want to share the process of building my Mi-24 1 / 35 from Trumpeter.

I am working on a model about 20 months.

During the construction I used BIG photoetch from Eduard, three cellular phones from I am a spammer....please report this post. and half of my old computer :-)

P.S. I'm from Russia, so don't beat me for my English

Here are photos of what has already been done.

I cut out hatches and made them opening.

I made a retractable landing gear and with the working hydraulics.

All this I will finish off. You can see in the pics that this draft version.

Front and rear landing gear, almost completely redesigned.

Factory option is not suited for a variant of the model with a raised chassis.

Wheels not intermeddle in a niche, rack rested against the crossbar.

I tried to make the landing gear rotating with an operating shock absorbers, and I did it!

But it fell apart after first test.

In short, after two weeks of calculations, sawing, turning and cutting, I got this:

After nine months of work was done:

- Fully completed the niche and racks of front and rear chassis

- Fully completed the cargo cabin

- Made avionics compartment

- Made all navigation lights

- Made the hatch, compartment and antenna "berezka" (this is that under the tail)

- Made the tail rotor gearbox

- Hatch, compartment and black box (the one in the tail)

- Made the hatches and charging compartment USPU-24 (nose)

- Made a lot of decals (a few months I spent on viewing photos, and then to the establishment of a detailed, in my opinion, decals "technical inscriptions).

Many factory decals are not written in Russian, but in some anknown foreign language. Trumpeter have done poorly decals.

 Wow! That is some some seriously excellent work there L-Greeco. I have always had a bit of a soft spot for the Hind and will one day build it in 1/48 but not to the state in which you have built this. I look forward to seeing your continued effort on this build. :worship:

Regards

Andrew

Hi! That's freaking awesome build!!

Охренеть, пардон! Да тут просто настоящий русский Левша! Есть еще умельцы на просторах нашей Родины! :worship:

That 'pit looks as that of a real thing! Great looking interior! Simply stunning landing gears, the idea to make them movable is terrific!

It's gonna be though the best scaled Hind I ever saw (but I suppose not me only).

But what all those wires about? Considering a remote control?

Cheers!

Alexander.
