RICH W
Great looking model!! What was the kit? Is there a review of the kit? Thanks, Paul Hi Paul i havent seen any reviews on the kit but all i have read on forums about it was good The kit is made by Zvezda , you should be able to find them on ebay or i do know that hannants (www.hannants.co.uk) stock them . My experiece while building was that the kit seemed very accurate and very well designed the engines are very well made the fan blades the kit are made so they can rotate i will post a picture of a close up of the engine when i can get arround to taking one . also i noticed that the plastic that Zvezda use doesnt seem to snap a easily when working with the smaller parts it seems more flexible than say revells it is the only 787 kit available at the moment havent heard much about the revell one that was supposed to be released the only thing i thought could be better were the decals for the Boeing scheme but it laid down a challenge to have to paint the fuselage rather than using decals i did find it easier to mask off the white wavy stripe rather than using the decals provided my over all impression is that it is a great kit one of the best quality ones i have built and well done to Zvezda for releasing it just before the real thing flew lets hope they continue to produce the Boeing airliners it would be nice to see the new 747-8 sometime or a 777-300 i will be building more of these maybe next will be United Airlines , then i may convert a 787-8 to a 787-9 and do Continental or Air new Zealand when F-dcal release their decals heres a link to a post regarding the Zvezda 787 on airliner cafe there are some pictures in this post of the components http://airlinercafe.com/forums.php?m=posts&q=5166 Rich
RICH W
just another couple of pictures i took with a higher resolution camera a close up of the engine it was hard to get good focus on the fan blades
aircommando130
Very nice Dreamliner! I can see a "what if" 787...in AMC gray with about half the windows gone...a side door on the left side and a refueling boom under the back. maybe inflight with the boom plugged into a 1:144th E-3.
