code20photog
So, after lamenting the fact that there are no decals available in 1/72 for the VFC-111 F-5F, I have decided to try and paint the tail. But, that leaves the sharkmouth issue. I figure I can custom print the lettering, but I'm at a loss for the sharkmouth. So my questions: A: Has anyone painted the tail in 1/72? B: What about the sharkmouth? Anything that will suffice? C: Anyone know the FS for the three tone camo?

The first one was the three-tone grey and they now have the three tone blue. Best bet at the moment is to cobble the decals from the high vis single seater. Eric B.
Verry interesting I am around the VFC-111 F-5E/F in 1/72nd scale a while now. How I'd like to see an up to date F-5E/F kit in the small scale .. and decals for VFC-111. I'll stick on the Italeri offering maybe combining it with the Trumpeter thing. As for decals let's hope TwoBobs as they still sometime release some 1/72 sheets (don't want to open the discussion again here). So I'll record Fuji's color information. By the way Fuji do you mean 35546 lighter blue (or maybe 36546) instead of 33546 on the blue scheme. I am not sure but IIRC 33546 would mean a tan color. Correct me if I am wrong. Cheers Eric B. I had the same thought, particularly given the upcoming release of the new 1/48th scale kit. I wouldn't be surprised if Bob did decals for the VF-111 scheme for that kit and then scaled them down for us 1/72nd scale geeks.

Eric, Those are the call outs from the TwoBobs sheet. I found another thread that had it confirmed as fs35466 - Bob made a typo and confirmed it. I had the same thought, particularly given the upcoming release of the new 1/48th scale kit. I wouldn't be surprised if Bob did decals for the VF-111 scheme for that kit and then scaled them down for us 1/72nd scale geeks. TwoBobs already has a sheet for VFC-111 - its 48-

ChernayaAkula
Now, where to find the appropriate kit in 1/72? The Italeri kit goes for crazy money. IF you're lucky enough to find one. Hope AFV Club will down-scale their Tiger(s).

Be patient and keep looking. I've seen the Italeri kit in the vendors room at several contests selling for under $10.
