Alex Ridpath
Hello All I am looking for a little information. I want to build an F16 from the 555th. Is the Tamiya F16 C/J Block 50 a good kit to use (1:48). I am unsure which block they operated. ? any nuts out there can help. In fact I would love to know if there is a good list out on the interwebs that list the differences in the Blocks for F16s Ta Alex http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/comm...16_Block_30.jpg
Andre
I am unsure which block they operated. ? The 31rd FW operate the Block 40. Conversion from a Block 50 is doable - you'll have to add the LANTIRN pods on the intake instead of the HTS of the 'CJ, and I think the Block 40s use the external stiffeners that the Block 50s don't. Paolo Maglio
Buy the AGGRESSOR/ADVERSARY kit by Tamiya and its PE detail set and you will have all is needed to build a Block 40 but the decals.
Blain
In Hasegawa's weapon set D there is a targeting pod and a nav pod. It doesn't look like there is an adapter for the nav pod, but I may be wrong. Do Block 40's still use the nav pod? The sniper pod is also a possbility. You can get good ones from Shawn Hull. Tha Has weapon set also has 6 GBU-12s and GBU-31s which you can use for your Block 40. Cross Delta has stiffeners. I believe Wolfpack and Dr. Pepper makes WAR huds. Good luck!
