Italeri asking for opinions

Recommended Posts

I asked for a 1/48 AW-101, a new tool version of the 1/48 H-34/Wessex family and a 1/48 CH-54 Sikorsky/Erickson skycrane, and a better or new tool 1/48 MV-22 Osprey! I am surrprised no one else here brought up the CH-54, am I the only rotor head who would love to see that?

Here is my list:

1. HH60-J (US Coast Guard)

2. Bell 412

3. Bell 206 Longranger

4. HH3F Pelican (US Coast Guard)

5. HH-65 (US Coast Guard)

6. Bell 407

I did advise that I tend to build larger scale (1/32 or 1/35). I realize that I am in the minority, but it doesn't hurt to ask...

I would love to see the following kits produced:

1/48 or 1/32 UH-34D (looks like quite a few like to see the UH-34D in larger scale than 1/72)

1/32 A-1J/H Skyraider

1/32 A-6 Intruder

1/32 A-37 Dragonfly

1/32 Sukhoi S-7 Fitter

1/32 Antonov An-2

I would vote for helicopter kits made in 1/32 scale rather than 1/35. 1/35 would make sense for those who want to display or build diorama with armor kits, but what about people who want to display aircraft models in 1/32 scale?

Definitely in agreement on the 1/48 CH-54 Skyrcrane and 1/32 A-1J/H Skyraider. Maybe even an E?

I would also like to add, though, that an nice, up-to-date 1/48 AC-130 be thrown in the mix as well seeing as they've not been made in quite some time and they obviously have the molds for them.

a 1/48 P-3C/EP-3E ARIES II Orion would be rather nice too.....

my 2 cents worth.

1:72 Douglas C-54 Skymaster

1:72 Boeing C-17A Globemaster

1:72 Lockheed C-141A/B Starlifter

1:72 Handley Page Hastings C.Mk.1

1:48 Sikorsky H-19 Chikasaw

1:48 Sikorsky H-34 Choctaw

1:48 Westland Wessex

1:48 Westland Scout AH.Mk.1

1:48 Aerosptaiale Sa-341/342 Gazelle

1:48 Pilatus PC-6B/C Turbo Porter

reeding all the posts here I would say the 1:48 CH-34 seems to be a favoured!

We are curious too!

We often wonder (and actually have hot debates about) what new kits we should bring to a trade show, and what modeling enthusiasts would like to see.

We'll use a direct approach:

we'll ask you. Here are two questions for everyone:

1) What kits (type and scale) you would like us to produce in the next future?

2)What are your three favorite kits currently in the Italeri catalog?

Send your opinions and replies to: idea@italeri.com.

The ideas we'll receive will be published in the next issues of this newsletter to share them with other modeling enthusiasts.

Thank you.

Ew, what are these none-rotor things? I don't go posting stuff about Hueys in the jet forum for a reason...

Thanks,

Austin

Good point. How about a Royal Navy Merlin in 1/48. I have the 1/72 ver and would love an upsized one! Also, how about a new RAH-66 in 1/48 heavy on detail.
