Raymond
hiya! after getting my modeling mojo back with a f-104 ive started work on a hase mig-29 in an indian scheme. super easy kit + super easy paint = ray finishes a gb perhaps :D anyhoo, begun with the cockpit and chair: cobbled together a k-36 kinda-lookalike from spare parts pics of the real thing: still trying to find out if these carry R-77s as would be cool to put on!! testimony from Indian pilot and news articles say yes (as they were upgraded mid 90s), but no pics of a mig-29 with missile or pylon
Sebastijan
Nice start! I haven't seen any photos of Indian 29s armed with R77s yet, but I found this interesting one
Flyingraptor
Is that the Hasegawa kit? The cockpit doesn't look at all like my Hasegawa Mig-29, though...
Raymond
hiya! the instrument panel is a spare originating from italeri mig-29 all puttied up today, and decided on missile combo: italeri R-27Rs and airfix R-73s (not using my good ICM ones on a quick build )
Raymond
anyone have an idea whats up with this faring infront of the IRST?
Berkut
Nothing special Ray. Also seen infront of IRST on Sukhoi planes. It is to protect the glass. At the speed they are flying, the glass i constantly "attacked" by particles in air (dust etc). That makes the seeker less effective, since the glass i more matt. That is why MiG-35 IRST have a very strong glass on IRST.

Piotrek.S.
anyone have an idea whats up with this faring infront of the IRST? This faring is used for sorties which expect not the use of IRST. For combat ready duty it`s always dismounted. Edited February 13, 2010 by Piotrek.S.
