MiG31
Would there be any chance that we'd see this produced in 1:144? (Jennings? Hello?) Assuming you could get through the process of painting that awful green coat.
Jennings
If I could get much better, close up photos of the whole airplane I'd do it. J
kinnies
Haha, that is just brilliant! John
Jennings
I'm trying to figure out what font they've used. I thought I had it, but I was mistaken. I've currently got some feelers out to see if I can nail down what it is, and based on those photos I may be able to do it. The big hang up besides the font is going to be the details of the little pictures done in dashed lines. J
Thrushcom
My new favorite livery....absolutely awesome....and educational!
TheFlyingDutchman
If the decals will be released for this livery I'll definitely build it.
Jennings
Decals will be on the way shortly! Stay tuned for more info here. I've gotten info from South Africa that will let me do it. I just need some time to get all the bits done. J
rob.w
Never thought that execs in the airline industry would have such a great sense of humour. The color looks the same as the lime green used on the 737's of the late Zip Airlines here in Canada. That would be a neat aircraft to add to my collection. rob
GEH737
I've seen a lot of paint jobs in my airline travels - that is pretty clever Hitch I could build one of those if decals were available...
Jennings
I could build one of those if decals were available... Stand by!

Adrian The a/c came to South Africa from the Czech Republic, and has now been re-registered with a ZS registration. J
atdb27
The a/c came to South Africa from the Czech Republic, and has now been re-registered with a ZS registration.J Interesting J So the stbd side bit OK-PIK reg with the <- Secret agent code (aka plane's regirstration) would now change to ZS-ZWP? Just a dilema as to which to go for or are you likely to offer both options? Either way I'm interested in a set. Adrian
Jennings
No, the a/c was painted up at Shannon, and once in service in SA she will only carry the ZS registration. She was never in service with Kulula with the OK registration. J
TheFlyingDutchman
But Shannon is Ireland, right? Why a Czech registration? Just curious Jennings, looking forward to your decals
Jennings
The airplane was with Axis Air in Czech Rep, leased (or sold?) on to Kulula. It went to Shannon for (prob) a D check and a repaint. COntract maintenance and painting is all.. J
ZOOMER
Jennings...Please keep me in mind if there is going to be a decal set produced...I'M IN!! :)
MiG31
I'll probably have to splurge to get a 738 to build this one, if only because it would stick out in my collection.
The Rat
That's so brilliant that if there were a Nobel Prize for humour it would be a dead cert!
cvrle
Sorry to drag an old thread out of the basement, but I'm wondering if these decals are available? And if they are, can you point me in the right direction? Thanks for the help!
Jennings
Unfortunately, at least from my hand, it's not happening. I was in touch with the Kulula PR department, who started out being very helpful. But then they just stopped answering emails. What I was trying to get was some images of the little illustrations found on the airplane. I know the name of the font (which its quite expensive to buy), but without better images of those little illustrations, it's not really doable (with any kind of accuracy). In any event, I've just started back to school full time, so I'm out of the game for the next three years at a minimum. J
cvrle
That's too bad (About the decals, not the school!) Well, I'm keeping my digits crossed anyways! :) And have fun in school! Cheers, Tvrtko
