Andrew Maverick Taylor
Ok what is the deal here? Model Alliance release the 1:72 RAF ISTAR'S decal sheet for the E-3D Sentry, Nimrod R1 and the Bombardier Sentinel R1. Fair enough, we have the Airfix Nimrod and we have the E-3D Sentry (well, that's if you want to pay more on shipping for it from the USA), but we don't have a 1:72 Bombardier Sentinel R1. Why have they done this when there appears to be no sign of one anywhere or one due for release. Does anyone have any update on this?
thegoodsgt
Why not drop them an email? I'd be very curious to see how they respond. :-) http://www.theaviationworkshop.co.uk/contact.php
kaburaya
Why not drop them an email? I'd be very curious to see how they respond. :-)http://www.theaviationworkshop.co.uk/contact.php Hi Gents, I believe the reason the decals were done for the Sentinal as they were told a certain mixed media kit producer, who specialises in airliners, plans to release one. Hope this helps now its down to you know who!

Andrew Maverick Taylor
UPDATE ALERT!! Recently contact Model Alliance about the RAF ISTARS 1:72 decal sheet. Here is what was ent and what was recieved: Sent: Hi there. I see that yourself and Hannants are selling the 1:72 RAF ISTAR'S sheet for the E-3D Sentry, Nimrod R1 and the Bombardier Sentinel R1. It is obvious that the market has the Airfix Nimrod, the E-3D Sentry (hard to get but many in the USA) but there is no sign of the Sentinel R1. Do you guys now something we modellers don't!!! Are you able to divulge information as to who is producing a Sentinel R1 and when it is likely to appear? Regards Andrew Recieved: Hi Andrew thanks for the interest. When we designed this sheet we were working with a kit manufacturer to produce the kit of the Sentinel. We understand that this will be released towards the end of 2010.
