Par429
Hey- Time to get started. I'm going to be building a Valom 1/72 B-26 (TB) Torpedo Bomber. I've heard mixed reviews about the Valom B-26's but since I have wanted for a long time to add a torpedo-armed B-26 to my collection of torpedo bombers, I'll see what I can do with it. I don't think a B-26 ever actually hit anything with a torpedo, but reportedly Capt. George Thornborough came pretty darn close to hitting the Ryujo when he dropped his torpedo like a bomb at the ship. But you can't doubt the courage of Thornborough and the rest of the crews who set out after the Japanese fleets at Midway and in the Aleutians with their torpedos and only minimal training in using them. Makes a great story. So here's what's in the box. Plastics Parts, look pretty nice Resin parts, engines, half cowlings, gear doors, torpedo Decals, metal parts and clear parts. Minimal decals for a Aleutian based aircraft. I'd have to say it looks pretty good in the box. Thanks, Phil
Albert Moore
Hi Phil, Given the work you did on that Super Connie for the Airliner Group Build and some of the other models that you have posted, we're in for a treat. Cheers, Alby
