Spruemeister
The old SAC museum in Omaha had a J-93 on a cart. I've got pics of it somewhere in the archives, but curiously, I have never seen it at the new location. I wonder if it's in storage or if it got bartered away to another museum? Rick L. Jinxter13
WOW!!!...talk about power!!!!.......I wondered how an aircraft as large as that could get up to M.3..I don't anymore. 19,900 dry and 28,800 wet. I found this B-58 "Hustler" Test Bird on iffipedia and I can just imagine that the pilot was a little tentative on shutting down x of his J79's to engage that YJ93 during the test. They probably shut down 1/4 or 2/3 to have balanced thrust; if they left all four burning and then engaged the '93 that must have been quite a kick in the arse (wonder what the Mach limit on the B-58 airframe was?). Wayne S
Any companies ever make the XB-70 in 1/144th scale? She must be about 30 inches in 1/72nd. Edited February 17, 2010 by Wayne S

OMG, that is a Beast. Looked big on the XB-70, looks HUGE on the Hustler!
Atlant
Any companies ever make the XB-70 in 1/144th scale? She must be about 30 inches in 1/72nd. Anigrand makes XB-70 in 144-th scale. You are correct - ERTL(now - Italery) model of XB-70 in 72-nd scale is 30+ inches long. Not 100% accurate model, but could be build to represent real bird.
