Ryan Airlines begins the first regularly scheduled passenger airline service flown within the mainland United States. The flight was from San Diego, CA to Los Angeles, CA and cost $14.50 one-way and $22.50 round-trip.

It doesn't sound like much money until you remember that was in 1925. To give you an idea, that is approximately $181.00 USD one-way and $281.00 USD round-trip in 2010 (adjusted only for inflation).

An interesting side-note found in research: T.C. Ryan of Ryan Airlines had ties to Charles Lindberg...as he designed and built the "Spirit of St. Louis".
