Jon Fitzgerald
Great to see this impressive project back on track! I know how you feel. I've had a 1/35 scale Hind with full interior that I've been working on since last year and sometimes I just stop because I worry about messing it up, or because I'm not happy with the results. I went through a period where I thought I just couldnt do the project justice. Sometimes though its good to step back and take your time on something :). Brilliant to have you back with us. graves_09
Hey Mareku, What are you using for glue? I had one of my gear break on my JSI tomcat and I was going to fix it. Will regular modeling glue (Testors, Tamiya, etc) work on this type of plastic or should I use CA or something different? Thanks for your help! BTW, your tomcat is looking great! I have yet to make any mods on mine, but I am planning to repaint it in VF-101 markings eventually...

mareku
THX Graves 09 for interest! I do not use a regular glues. I use a Dichloridemethane as a glue. It melts a plastis serfice a bit and when joint together and drie it is a very strong weld. It goes by the name of Plastic Weld in the model shops. I got it first from england and when I try it for a very first time I was in love and now I do not use enything else. Hope this helps. Take care and hapy modeling. JohnS
Fantastic detail on the gun. It's frustrating that there are no photos of the underside of the gun. Here's a link to another photo, but It's still not the best. http://www.flickr.com/photos/nostri-imago/2861399944/sizes/o/in/photostream/ However, I did find 2 links to a document that includes line drawings of the M61A1 cannon's parts. They might help.
