HistnScale
Heinz Wolfgang Schnaufer is indisputably the highest scoring night fighter in history. Many of Schnaufer’s scores were made flying a Bf 110G-4 coded G9+EF, his favorite aircraft. At the time of its loss, G9+EF carried Schnaufer’s score card of 121 kills on it vertical fin. G9+EF was lost on 30 March 1945 during a transfer flight while being flown by another crew. The model is Eduard’s 1/48th scale kit. The kit is a somewhat difficult build but the finished product is a nicely detailed replica of 110G-4 The model was painted with Gunze Mr. Color lacquers. Decals came from Cutting Edge. The original aircraft was carefully maintained and highly polished, so weathering was kept to a minimum. Photos were done using a Nikon Coolpix 4500. Thanks for taking the time to look.
