Hi everybody,

I'm planning to add some details to my next project and this time I'll try the lighting. I got most of the light positions OK, but just could not find where the logo lights are. They should be somewhere on the horizontal stabilizers as one source suggested but could not see them in any photos. It's going to be a 757-200 and any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks...

Ege

I believe on some types (737 classic) they are placed on the wing tips, and they shine backwards to the vertical tail. But due to the length of the B757 I think they are just placed on top of the stabilizer, like you said. :D

Edit:

If you scroll down a bit, the logo light on the B737 classic's wing tip is clearly visible. But as I didn't discover it on the B757 during a short search on Airliners.net I assume they must be on the stabilizer. On some top-down photos of the B757 two spots right next to each other on each stabilizer is visible. Maybe one of them are the logo lights?

I believe the 757 also uses the wing tip trailing edge logo lights. I'm travelling at the moment, but when I get home next week I can check for you for sure. I did several dozen 757 illustrations for a magazine article several years ago, and I'm pretty sure I recall having to draw both styles of wing tips for them.

I haven't looked for any pictures there but I am sure that they have something you are looking for at www.airliners.net. I see them everyday on the real thing at work. They ARE on the wing tips like the B737 but they are double lights. Go to airliners.net.
