Raymond
Hiya! I'm working on an Angolan emb-312 Tucano converted from the Airfix 1/72 shorts tucano kit: the first two mods needed were the removed of the canopy frame and the lengthening of the forward fuselage:
Aussie_superbug
G'day Raymond, Is the extension required from the short comings of the kit, or is there a difference between the British/ Embraer built tucano's? Brendon
Raymond
hiya! the nose on the shorts Tucano is slightly different in shape than the embrear, though i think the airfix kit nose is a bit short anyway! still working on getting the correct intake shape, though the length seems better: so far looking like this: Edited April 25, 2010 by Raymond
Raymond
done the cockpit and done basic engine reshape:
spejic
Very nice so far. I'll be interested in seeing how you do the contouring to the nose. I think everyone that gets this kit ends up doing it in something besides the box scheme because the kit is fine but the decals are incredibly awful. One thing - this model is an incredible tail-sitter. Did you put in weights in the front?
