Umm, I think I might be in trouble

Recommended Posts

Well, it's now a quarter after 10pm here in Ellensburg, pitch black, and there's a blackhawk circling around my house right now. It's gone over four times in about the last ten minutes at a flight level of about 500 feet. I think that they are looking for me, but so far I seem to be safe. If I'm not on for a few days, you'll know they got me. Okay guys? Just thought I'd let you know.

Unitl we meet again,

If they really wanted you, you'd already be gone. Remember, even paranoids have real enemies. :explode:

Well, I'm safe...for now. Turns out there were two of them, and they circled around town for more than an hour, finally leaving about 11:30pm. It sounds like at least one of them landed at the airport, so I am guessing it as a medevac. I'm not sure why they flew around for as long as they did before they landed though. This is a small hospital where the only thing they are known for being "really good" at is the birthing center, so if it was a matter of stabalizing the patient, they would've taken them to Seattle or Yakima. So, I'm not sure what was going on. I'll let you guys know when I find out something. If I'm still around here to report...they may have been reading this and know that I am onto thier game. Maybe they are just waiting till I let my guard down a little before they swoop down and get me. :explode:

Back when I lived in So. Cal, I had the Orange County Sheriff's Department helo, 'Duke' shine the light down on me and my family and or friends from time to time due to gang related activity going on in our neighborhood ... As the beam would catch us, the JAFO would instruct us to return inside our home for the time being ... Must have happened about 5 times or so over the years ... Mostly the 80s ...

I had something like that happen here a month or so ago. I went out on the back patio (we live in an apartment complex) at about 10:00pm or so to put away my little gas grill. As I stepped out, I hear "Sir, EPD (Ellensburg Police Department) we need you to step back inside please" followed by something that sounded a lot like "barricaded suspect" Needless to say I high-tailed it back inside. The officer was standing within 15 feet of me, but because of the fact that it was dark and the PD wears dark blue uniforms, I never saw him. Scared the crap out of me when he talked.

By the way, another Blackhawk was back tonight for about a half hour or so. No idea what is going on. I thought it was a medivac last night, but having them come back again tonight at almost the same time does not fit that theory very well.

Well, it was a UH/MH/SH/HH. Since it was dark, I can't tell for certain which, but with the YTC so close, I'm going with Army as opposed to Navy or Air Force. I know for a fact it was not a Huey. Yeah, I guess they could've been doing approaches into the airport, it was just kinda an odd time to be doing it.

Sure was. I woke up at 1:00 and could still hear rotors turning up there, though it sounded like they were on the ground by that time.

Sounds like their checking for plants/growers in your area.

Going back a few years here in R.I when the guard had their Cobras. There was a place we rode our dirt bikes. The woods had two fields on each end. One time they landed and ask us to keep racing from one end to the other, so they could practice tracking us in the woods. Was pretty cool getting chased by them.

Well, there are certain areas that are known for that, but they are up in the hills, not down here in the valley where they were flying. Carolyn and I were talking today and the thought came up that they might've been doing something with the Army ROTC. We've seen a couple of them flying around during the day the past few days, so they may be doing incentive rides or something. Not sure if they would do those at night, but it might explain the days.

Okay, so I finally got off my butt and drove the half mile or so to the airport tonight. It would appear that the Blackhawks are practicing aproaches and landings into an un-lit airfield. The Yakima airport is classified as an international airport, and I think that the field is always lit at night, but ours is not. You have to break squelch on your radio so many times for the lights to come up here. So, after three nights and with a little bit of detective work, I've finally found out what is going on. I can sleep in peace at night knowing they are not looking for me...or are they?

Don't worry, the ARC Illuminati use more quiet helicopters to covertly plant the listening devices.

Assuming we exist, of course.
