Thanks guys. For the wash, I used burnt umber water color mixed with Future. I'm not certain how accurate it is in this instance, but, I remember seeing some photos of American aircraft stationed in Vietnam during the war and the panel lines looked brownish to me, so a friend suggested I try burnt umber on an F-104C that I built about a year ago and I was happy with the results so I thought I'd try it here.

I couldn't find any color photos of Vietnam-based MiG-23s but I did find this photo of a German MiG-23BN with what looks like lubricant leaking from the flap & slat hinges. I've been told that stuff gets all over the place.

The burnt umber is actually rather light, so I could go back and re-do portions in black if I decide I need to use both. What do you guys think?
