warthoglvr
Awesome Raptor there! Great shots. I bet that was a fun airshow! Yeah, the fun part was being so close to the "flightline". I was no more than 8 feet from where he swooped in for the hamburger we put out on the table. Beautiful. Graceful. Magnificent.

T-bone
Just keep your small kids and Chihuahuas inside -- Mr. Red-shoulder Hawk would love to ****** `em! Is that the Withlacoochee in the background? Use to head past there taking my dive classes to the Rainbow River for their first open water snorkelling class years ago. Use to go tubing and canoeing there sometimes as kids... I miss those bald cypresses! Censored because of the use of the word snat-h so just substitute scoop... I guess sn-tch is vulgar in some context! Another example of just trying to keep the little ones safe! Edited May 18, 2010 by T-bone

I miss those bald cypresses! Yes sir! It's in that neck of the woods. Quite the reprieve from the hustle-and-bustle of Pinellas County! hazmatt
I love the area around Nobleton! I have a friend who lives right outside of Nobleton on Daly and Lake Lindsey and we always go out riding our dirt bikes in Withlacoochee forest. Great area up there.

RedHeadKevin
So a hawk will go after hamburger chunks? I was wondering about that, since I'm moving to a much more-wooded area.

William G
Always a pleasure to see these birds... I have a pond out back, but need a faster lens for my Nikon... several hawks and a few eagles have been swooping and grabbing fish. So I can agree they are wonderful in their surface attack mode. I am sure that it can do a Kobra... but I fear that it is still no match for the mighty Tweet William G
