Excess
I just wondered if anyone knew where I could find a set of the 12 smoke dischargers arranged each side of the turret on the T-72? I've got the old Matchbox (Revell?) 1/72 T-80 B kit which lacks them completely. I've searched for resin replacement sets but no-one seems to offer them. Thanks, Justin Edited May 26, 2010 by Excess
olemanjoe
Hi Justin You're prolly better off scratchbuilding them. I built the same kit about ten years ago and i used sections of stretch sprue. If I were to do it again, I would use plastruct or similar plastic tubing/rod. Will try to post some pics later...! Either that you could scavenge them out of a spare Revell or ACE T-72 kit...! olemanjoe
Hi Justin Here are some pics of my Matchbox T80... There were quite a lot to be scratchbuilt. I believe that Revell released the same kit but with ERA blocks and a lot of other details that were missing from the earlier release. Pardon the rough work this was done in the early 90s! Hope these help...! Edited May 27, 2010 by olemanjoe
