afspret
I've had a new Droid Eris smart phone for a couple of weeks and the other night I was perusing Amazon MP3 music app., and after about 20 minutes or so the back of the phone started getting hot. I went to the cell phone where I bought the phone and they acted like nothing was wrong, in fact the only question they asked was what my signal strenght was! I have a standard battery and I know they drain down pretty fast, but is it normal for them to get hot?

Antonov
I wouldn't worry that much.
William G
Depending on the phone it is normal. I have an Android G1 (t-Mob) and it does the same thing... Was a point of concern for customer care until HTC said it is normal... (yep I work for the magenta one) So how are you enjoying your Android? Any cool apps that you have found that you can not live without so far? For me, I love the following Weather Bug ACV (Android Comic Viewer) DroidSat (Track Satellites in orbit) Google Sky Map Oh the Stars!!! Wizard Memo AsciiCamera (Convert pictures to Ascii format like when we all had Atari and TRS computers) William G

afspret
Thanks all and no I didn't get burnt, I was just surprised it got hot, never had that problem with my other phones. I've only had for a couple of weeks and I'm pretty happy with it so far, even though it took me a few days to get the hang of using the basic functions and I've just started exploring all the other apps that come with it.
