ESCI 1/48 Panavia Tornado M.R.C.A.

It was a tough build, but it turned out much better than I had expected:

Gunze acrylics were used for the paint job, Future for the gloss coat before the decals, and Micro Flat for the final coat. I used Micro Flat because it doesn't frost and I wanted a slight sheen. The camo was airbrushed freehand.

Looks great- I've done the esci kit in 72nd and it's pretty much the same as the 48th, I think, really tough to get it looking nice. You've done well with this one.

Hey credit to anyone who builds an ESCI kit...I should know...after returning after 20 yrs to this hobby my 1st build was a Esci F-8E...trust me it was worse than a dog breakfast!

Indeed it turns out really great!

can't help always taking a look when i see somebody does a ESCI 1/48 kit.

thoses where the cheap kits of my youth... i mostly goes to them because of their attractive boxing, and exotic subjects...

but they where too much challenging VS the final results... for the modeller i was then... then i discovered Tamiya...

now i'm back again to my old loves, an have two of them on my workbench by now...

Thanks. I spent a lot of time trimming, sanding, and fixing things. This is not one of ESCI better kits. I don't think I will build another anytime soon.
