Viggen JA-37 Posted July 14, 2010 Share Posted July 14, 2010 I was a production scheduler at Freightliner in Indianapolis. I can tell you that there were no standard trucks at the time. Model years were meaningless. It was all based on what the customer wanted. If the customer wanted one just like they bought in June of 1964, no problem. The customer picklist was extemely complicated. We could also build an exact copy of any Freightliner ever built in the past since we had records by customer for every truck built. Comments like "the headlights are too high or too low" depend on the individual truck. Same thing for the width, heigth and depth of the cab. It was all custom. Its quite possible that the kit represents an actual example quite well. It all depends on what truck they measured. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
