loftycomfort
I love the World Cup and I'll be glued to the TV all month starting Friday. I can feel the football passion in the city already. People are starting to put little flags on their cars to support their home country's teams. So far I've seen Portugal, England, Spain, Italy and Brazil. I'm sure more will appear as the tourney starts. Is this a Toronto phenomenon? Terry

Here in the UK - same goes for St Georges (English) flag...... Ken

Mumbles
There has been a vibe building here in New Zealand for a while now, possibly since this is the first World Cup we have qualified for since 1982. Rugby is normally king here, and it is nice to see it take a backseat for a while. The first All Black's test of the season is on Saturday, but the buildup is being almost completely overshadowed by coverage of the All White's in South Africa. We probably won't make it past the first round, but for a country like us just getting to the competition in the first place is a major achievement.
