Hi Gang,

This build isn't dead.

It's just not a priority at the moment.

But since I got my Subscription version of the new Eduard MiG-21 today, I've been busy trying to get all current builds done so that I can start the MiG.

As for the Shablool I did some black around the cockpit and a few more stencil on wheelbay covers and airbrakes.

Hi again,

Remember this?

Well I've been neglecting my update here on ARC.

But I do still build.

This is how my Shablool looks now.

201111011724.jpg

Eduard PE fitted around the canopies.

Airbrakes and rear chaff bucket fitted.

201111061783.jpg

An ALQ-119 from a Hasegawa ordnance set.

201111061784.jpg

AirDoc Sidewinder launcher for the Sparrow well and a Paragon Python III missile.

And here mounted to the aircraft.

So it's almost finished.

To be continued....

Good to see you back at it Bosse!!

I have taken a little break from my Israelis, but I still plan to finish them soon... My Netz won its class at Norways Southern Challenge in August, very much thanks to the inspiration I get from you!!

Cheers and keep up the good work!!

Very nice work!

I am not brave enough to do that much cutting.

And all those stencils..you have much more patience then I.

Keep up the great work.

Thanks Av8fan.

The cutting involved on this one isn't soo scary that is seems.

All cuts are along existing panellines.

The decaling on the other hand is something else.

I don't think I'll build another Phantom for some time.

One every two years is my limit.

Hi,

My Shablool is finally finished. :yahoo:

This build tried a few times to beat me, but I stayed with it and now it's done.

I added the last bits to it earlier today.

And now it resides in the bookcase along with my collection of IDF/AF F-16's

201111161819.jpg

It was a very demanding build and I'm glad that's finished.

I think it'll be awhile before I start another F-4.

Now I'm going to clean up my desk so I'll be ready when the Arctic/Antarctic GB starts.

Take Care

Fine build on a more than interesting type ! :jaw-dropping:

But ... since when can the Phantom carry a Python III missile in that strange installation in/under a Sparrow pylon ???

Do You have a photo of this configuration ??? ... sounds more than interesting ! :stupid:

Thanks, Deino

Thanks Deino.

I can't remember when the IDF/AF started to use this special rail in the Sparrow well.

But pictures can be found here.
