ShaunBD
What are the best aftermarket 1/32nd scale exhust nozzles to replace the kit items from the Academy kit? I've read a few reviews on the MK1 set and the black box, but who has suplys/stocks of these items? Shaun. Edited July 11, 2010 by ShaunBD
model mob
Steer well clear of Aires. I have them and the are WAY undersize. I have a friend who has them as well, his are undersize. Cheers, Mark
Scot M
Black Box used too have a 'Hornet Update' set that has some.... If you look in the review section you might be able to find out if that's what your looking for.But I have too add...that since BB/Avionix was picked up by Squadron...I'm not sure if that particular set is even available anymore.Someone might be along here shortly that has more info than I... RiderFan
Aires have a lot of detail, but are the wrong shape. The kit cans are fine if you use the Eduards parts for detail. http://www.eduard.cz/products/card.php?id_...mp;page_start=5 If you can find them Lionroar also makes a set of pure photoetched cans. You have to assemble all the petals but they do look great when done.
robw_uk
similar question... how are the nozzles set when an aircraft is parked? is it both closed, both open or one open/one closed? cheers
Dave Williams
Both closed. That's another problem with the Aires exhausts, their "closed" nozzles are partially open.
