Here is this nightmare kit ARII 1/72 Cessna-172, I’ll converted from it! According to some of the reviews before, this is the only kit in town and. if I don't build it That will fly to the trashcan someday! Just see how it will turn out ha, ha, ha ...! :) here is my progress so far! Let_models Edited September 17, 2010 by let_models

let_models
After careful checking of the references pictures and other previous built on this kit, in deed this kit suffers with many issues involved of in-correct shape. especially on the fuselage, it was very narrow, here is what I did to fix on the issue Also, painted cockpit compartment, 2 haft fuselages glued. instrument panel is in place. and new engine face. Because I want to build this T-41 with the late model C or D per half, the question is still in my mind, don’t remember…the aircraft may have some landing light in the nose, is it? Any expert? please let me know! thanks for your looking on this built! Let_models Edited July 31, 2010 by let_models

let_models
I had some small up date: - Working on scrape clear plastic, cutting and sanding for the back windows, the kit parts can’t use, I have to let it go! YES! I sanded on the new clear parts...when it seem to be right, 'magic future' will apply on top! - Also I cut the wing tips for creating of wing tips drop down... as you see on Cessna 172 / T-41. So far I'm happy with the fuselage, it turned out just right shape, here is it! I hope will have more time for more progresses next!! I'm cutting and separated the elevator with correct line, and then I drop it above 15 degree down. you can see the kit part line was wrong... Today, I added a prime coat for whole aircraft and checking some seam lines and items needed my attention. I will focus on the landing gear next time, thank for looking Guys and happy modeling Let_models

let_models
I'm puling out the spare parts box, select 3 wheels close enough to use for the T-41 the kit parts I have to say bye bye...I don't recall what these spare parts from what kits before, but I remember one correctly is the front wheel came from the Monogram kit F-16XL ha, ha, ha.... Note: picture shown the kit main landing gear is very long...this is really a sad part for this kit, you need to reviews before you build. I trimmed them off and test fit to the fuselage see how it look, until I'm happy with the test, the kit front landing gear is also very long too, it need to shorten little before gluing with the spare part front wheel together... I start to paint the wing first and do some pre-shade, then the fuselage next. 172_ This morning I re do another layer and painting the black anti-clare on the nose. It's almost ready for decals and I'll re attach the landing gears again. Thank for your looking at the build, see you next time! :) Happy modeling! let_models
I like to show you the color of my T-41, it's a VNAF bird! Served as a primary trainer for young pilots based at Nha-Trang, South Viet Nam. Sorry the picture was B&W but I can tell you the top rudder and wing tips painting red, the number on fuselage is light blue, the insignia on the rudder also light blue with yellow eagle, the star and bar was red/yellow and white star in blue circle... that was my home made decals exactly with these colors! That what I had so far for this week, I hope with more time I be able to get her stand on her own leg next time!
