D_IcarUS_
Hello guys and gals, As returning back to scale modeling after a few month of holliday from modelling, I'm again. I will try to recover some lost time and try to build a decent (my second favourite airplane) the mighty F-14A Tomcat, and I choose an easy kit: The Italeri kit #837, with some after-market, the Eduard Set FE123. The box: The Cat Also, I would like to ask if someone can provide my some photos of the interior of the cockpit without the bang seats. Also, a photo of the panel behind RIO ejection seat will be nice. Thanks for looking and of course, some advice will be nice. My best regards to all. SteveV22FE
Who makes the aftermarket nozzles???
jimz66
He doesn't need aftermarket nozzels. He has essentially Italeries version of the B. What he needs is the cockpit stuff and a double chin pod.
D_IcarUS_
Thanks guys, The photo of the aircraft is wrong. It will be the F-14B. Well managed to have some time free and decided to work the panel lines and rivets. Some of them weren't there. I've used a needle in a pin vise. Some photos:

jacksdad
Will be watching this one with interest. How does the Italeri compare to Revell's or Academy's Bombcat? Steve
Neo
Good start now where did you get that tool you seam to be making rivets with??? Looks nice Cheers Neo
THX1138
I really like the Italeri F-14. Way better molded then the Revell (not Monogram) Cat. And it's cheaper then the Academy and Hasegawa. Few issues. Like with this B model not having the right exhausts. But not too bad. Great progress so far.
D_IcarUS_
Thanks guys for the nice words. @Jacsdad: I have build the oldest F-14 from Revell and this one is far better in everything. Painel lines, rivets, cockpit etc etc. About Academy I don't know: never build one or get it on my hands. @Neo: That's is a pin vise with a needle on it. Simple as that. I don't really know the size, but if you try someday to do the same on a kit, try different sizes. It was the way I doi it. Thanks a lot! ;)

D_IcarUS_
02/08/2010 Up-date: Hello guys and gals, So it's time for an up-date to my Italeri 1/48 F-14A Tomcat. So tome to add some PE to the bird: Flare PE, after removed the mold on the kit: Then in the ejection seats. They will receive a pilot and a RIO figure, so I didn't worry tmuch about the seat, Also inside of the tub, but they will not be visible after, but we know that the PE are right there: Also, add some electrical wire, but barely will be visible.... With white solved in tap water, and a paper tissue, I worked the cover in the top of the RIO cockpit. Is drying and when it dries, I'll tell the results. Not very visible, but yes, there is: Here are the figures and so on: Had some litlle detail to the main landing gear The landing gears must have some flush removed. For now it's all that I have. Thanks a lot for the attention. Regards Edited August 2, 2010 by D_IcarUS_
