The Loggie Posted September 16, 2011 Share Posted September 16, 2011 Never seen any. But, I drilled-out the bulkheads (from the 'outside') till I could just pop-off the torpedo-tube caps. Then, I used plastic tube to correctly extend the tubes into the pressure hull. Replacing the endcaps and they were done - till I pushed one off and replaced in the open position & 1/2-inserted a torpedo. I made overhead rails from lengths of I-beam, to move the torpedoe reload into the tube. I replaced the main gun barrel with brass tube. I replaced the 2 x periscope housing tubes with brass. I festooned the roof with lots of tubes & rods to replicate the myriad of pipes. Detail them with levers & wheels (model PE) for looks. I'd love some more bodies to position inside. The inside of U-Boats were chockas (= full of stuff) so go to town. Hang a lot of foodstuffs everywhere (watch 'Das Boot"). Good luck & have a ball. George, out............
