kozlok
I'm going to pick up a 1/48 F-22, probably the Hasegawa one, and I'm wondering if anyone has any idea how to replicate the finish of an f-22 yet Please advise
Huey Gunner
Hawkeye Hobbies has "Raptor Sheen" that's goes on as an over coat. Check out his web site for other Raptor tips.
Camus272
The Raptor sheen actually gets mixed 50/50 with the paint. I just got some from Sprue Brothers, but haven't had a chance to try it. Brian

nird551
follow the hasegawa instructions.. the manual will tell you how to mix gray shades with metallic shades. results are pretty good...
mrvark
Another option
Pep
I was planing on starting an F-22 and was experimenting on how to do this finish and the cheapest bests way was .... take an old (or new) classic testors little bottle of aluminium and let it sit until the pigments separate from the medium (if you've had yours for more then 1 day this should already have happened). Now, either use a dropper and remove the medium or just pour it out. Next spread the pigment on a clean terry cloth leave it out over night to dry now take an other terry towel and rub some dry pigment onto it then lightly rub the pigment onto your model. make sure you seal it with your preferred clear coat and your golden... or silver =)

Jason Amigo
Another option This is probably the best way to paint an F-22 with the old fashioned paints...I'm not sure if those knew paints made specifically for the F-22 are good...but at least this is tried and tested. Or maybe you could use both instead. Jason
