Three kills with AIM-9s, one with AIM-7. Probably B model sidewinders.

Not sure

Viet Nam War

He used both although had no kills with the AIM-4D Falcon. All his kills with the Sidewinder were with the AIM-9B. He considered the AIM-4 worse than useless as a dogfight weapon.

*Steve Ritchie used gun pod in its F-4D or not¿ and ECM witch one¿

Ritchie scored no kills with a gun. I believe the SUU-23 gun pod was rarely used by the USAF once the F-4E entered service. ECM pods would have been either ALQ-101 (short & long versions) or ALQ-87.

For RAF phantoms

*The F-4J they bought early 80's were converted to S standards with sloted slats or not¿

Stabilators were slotted (like all F-4Js). No Wing Slats.

*did they faired over the catapulthooks or not, ¿

No.

The aircraft were standard in all respects to when they were used by the US Navy except they had the 'slime lights' installed (normally only seen on the F-4S).

*Also did they used Skyflash or Sparrows¿

Both - the two missiles are visually identical, only the electronics changed.

For Spanish AF

*Did the F-4C they got used AIM-9B or E models ¿

Originally AIM-9Bs were used but these were replaced after 1978 with the AIM-9J and at the end of service the AIM-9L was carried.

*Did they also used the 20 mm SUU-20 gun pod or not¿

The SUU-20 is a Rocket/Practice bomb carrier and was often carried. The EdA had SUU-16 gun pods but these were rarely used routinely.

For RAF phantoms

The F-4J (UK)

...had a persicope on the left side of the middle part of the canopy (like the FGR.2). No catapult hooks, they are removed because the F-4J UK was based on land. Not every plane had the ecm bumps on the intake shoulder (and even if it had, it was empty). The antennas for the J version were removed: under the nose and under the wing. There s a good book about the UK Phantoms from Verlinden Publications - the "look on" series. There s one for the Phantom too!

I was pretty sure the Spanish F-4's used the SUU-23 gun pod.

I retract my statement on the SUU-23. All the pics I could find of Spanish Phantoms with gun pods had the SUU-16.

Both pods were used, pictures show them with a short ALQ-101 mounted on one inboard wing pylon and an ALQ-87 under the other inboard pylon.
