Aaronw
I'm keeping this one simple, it is Revell's 1/72 Fokker DR1 with markings for Manfred von Richthoven's last aircraft. I found the current thoughts seem to be towards MvR's red triplane being a much darker red than it is traditionally shown, so I am using Model Master anti-fouling red, a dark brownish red color. So far this is proving to be a nice trouble free kit. I've got a couple of biplanes under my belt now and I can see why many suggest the DR1 as a first WW1 model. It is far less fiddly than most having just a few very solid struts, and minimal rigging.
Aaronw
I finally got back to work, just need to get the rigging done and I should have this one wrapped up.
Romanator21
Nice work! I really like the color. I have this exact same kit (it is really small!), and I'm building Lothar's plane, but it has been a nightmare to paint!
Aaronw
I really like the Revell WW1 aircraft, they are generally very easy to build but still come out with a nicely detailed model. I have the Eduard DR1 with markings for LvR, it is a neat scheme but does look like a lot more work, good luck with yours.
