Nuno Andresen
I rarely do this, however, for future memory take a look at these two. I really lack adjectives to properly qualify this: http://cgi.ebay.com/Jagdwaffe-Colours-Battle-Britain-Phase-Four-/250849854336?pt=Non_Fiction&hash=item3a67d10380#ht_913wt_654 http://cgi.ebay.com/130549496168?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fshop.ebay.com%3A80%2Fi.html%3F_from%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dp5197.m570.l1313%26_nkw%3D130549496168%26_sacat%3DSee-All-Categories%26_fvi%3D1&_rdc=1#ht_500wt_901

Skyraider Maniac
Hasegawa A-4B Falklands http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320726041678 5 days left it was already at $92, 2 days left it's at $142. Sold at $177.50, another one right after sold for $166. Wow..... That's a tad bit too much for a scooter, wouldn't ya say?
Phantom726
Wow..... That's a tad bit too much for a scooter, wouldn't ya say? Totally agree! But the Hasegawa 1/48 Scooters are getting quite pricy. The last three standard A-4Cs on eBay went at USD 72, 72 and 86 respectively.
El pibe vitina
Cmon! Who dares to push "Bid" button?? http://cgi.ebay.es/1-72-SOVIET-SU-24-FENCER-C-LEV-ATTACK-JET-Model-Kit-/150638041809?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2312ba1ad1 Bye for now!
kiowafixer
I think a $199 "Buy It Now" price is quite reasonable for a 1:72 scale Tomcat. http://www.ebay.com/itm/GRUMMAN-F14a-TOMCAT-MODEL-KIT-NIB-/290602116841?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item43a93c66e9 Kiowafixer
Netz
or when they go "Hasegawa 1/48 F-14 tomcat NOT academy or hobby boss" I hate that! makes me want to create a fake bider and bid on it They put those phrases in there so when you do a search it will hit on the Tag words, it get's them more exposure and for the bidder more irrelevant garbage to sort through. Cmon! Who dares to push "Bid" button?? http://cgi.ebay.es/1-72-SOVIET-SU-24-FENCER-C-LEV-ATTACK-JET-Model-Kit-/150638041809?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2312ba1ad1 Bye for now! Netz
One short coming to this thread is that at some time the E-Bay links expire and we have no clue of what the OP is referring to, unless they give a detailed description. Curt Here's one I think is quite "ambitious." http://cgi.ebay.com/Fujimi-Grumman-F-14A-T...=item335fc9ca53 How about this one? Wha...wait, how much?! :) It's a gorgeous model, but jeez. I better stock up on these in case this one is sold! Hasegawa F-4G Here is a nicely priced item cliky i hope he has more than on cuz at this price i think ill take 2 How about that? http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...RK%3AMEWAX%3AIT NB: this is finished auction and the item has actually been sold http://cgi.ebay.com/DACO-1-48-ASD4815-US-N...=item4aa3dbf6d8 With all due respect to Mr. Daco, these decals aren't worth that much! Jan-Pawel
I remember, on Ebay, I saw a decal sheet coming from the Heller 1/50 Ecureuil (the old Gendarmerie release, not the current Sécurité Civile livery). The seller wanted 30 euros minimum for it ! Otherwise, since the begining of August, I started selling activities on Ebay. Like lot of people, my kit stash is unreasonable, so I'm reducing it. Sometimes, the result of the sale is interresting. Maybe not overpriced but interresting. 2 examples : - a 1/48 FM Mirage VF : I bought it 15€ (shipping not included), a bider won it for 51€ (shipping still not included). - a 1/24 Monogram Ferrari Testarossa (Miami Vice release) : I found it for 1€ at a flea market, a bider won it for approx.16€. eharrold44
This eBay seller may be on drugs. $40 for a Monogram P-40? $150 for an AMT Trans Am? Sure, why not.

Jan-Pawel
Otherwise, I remember an anecdote. A french modeller who do AFV models for a french magazine. The magazine is published every 2 months and the guy often presents 1 or 2 dioramas. Sometimes, these people sell their models for to clear their shelves. So, the guy proposes on Ebay (France) some of his dioramas for few hundred of euros each. Modelers from a french forum (who are in conflict with the magazine's staff, because they accuse the staff to do more or less hidden advertising) learn that the guy is selling his models. So, they sent him questions like : "is that the frame in solid gold ?" "are there solid gold parts ?" etc. For to understand the critics against the magazine : - you have an article about a kit, and few pages latter, you have an advertisement (for example, for the kit), - sometimes, they don't skimp with accessories (PE, resin parts, etc. criticism against "arms race"), - historical accuracy, technical skills, business practices, questionable impartiality... Kalashnikov-47
This one has me scratching my head: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180744140962 Readily available in Europe for about 50 Euro, and I bout mine through their USA agent for about $60. And....I'd say the odds of Revell tooling the parts needed to release a Ju 88A-4 are very good! Edited October 31, 2011 by Kalashnikov-
