First, you copy the URL of the banner and host it on your own image storage account (photobucket, imageshack, etc.) Then, you click "My Controls" in the upper left corner of your screen. After that, you select "Edit Signature" on the left of your screen. When you have done that, you can paste the URL of the banner including and [ /IMG] tags in the little window.
